BRITTANY'S STORY

Why I Became a Dog
Trainer

About 10 years ago I had a German Shepherd mix named Stormy. Severe anxiety. Reactive to other dogs. Distrustful of nearly everyone. Every walk felt like a negotiation and I was completely in over my head.

After Stormy passed from cancer, I decided to turn everything I had learned into a way to help other families in the same situation. Since then I have worked with hundreds of dogs and families across Salt Lake County and surrounding communities.

What I Believe About
Dog Training

Training is about building a relationship. When you and your dog genuinely understand each other, the behaviors take care of themselves.

My approach is balanced and relationship-driven. Tools like prong collars and e-collars may be introduced when they are the right fit, always as communication tools and never as punishment.

Yes. Over ten years Brittany has worked with hundreds of dogs and families across Salt Lake County and surrounding communities, from puppies to adult dogs of every breed and mix. Every plan is built around your dog’s actual behavior and your home, not around its breed.
Most likely. Brittany specializes in reactive and aggressive dogs, anxious and hyperactive dogs, and foundational obedience: basic life skills, aggression and reactivity, e-collar training, and settling an over-aroused dog. The $50 in-home assessment is where the right starting point is confirmed.
Yes. Every program is six private in-home lessons, so training happens in your home and neighborhood, around your family and your other dogs. That is the point of in-home training: your dog learns in the environment where the behavior actually happens.
